Updating Your ACCESS Profile
To modify the name or email associated with your ACCESS ID:
- Log on to the ACCESS Registry with your ACCESS account or your linked federated account (e.g., your university).
- Click the “Profile: View and edit your name and email address” tile.
- Click on the gear icon (⚙) to the right of the information that you want to edit (e.g., name or email address).
- After updating the information, click the "SAVE" button.
- Working with email addresses:
- If you MODIFY your email address, be sure to check your inbox for a confirmation email and click the link in the message to confirm your change request.
- If you ADD a new email address, you must click the gear icon and select "Verify" from the drop-down box to generate the confirmation email. ACCESS CI requires all email addresses to be verified.
- If you want the email address to be shown as the address in your Allocations Profile, set the Type to "Official". (Only one "Official" email address can be shown in the Allocations Profile.) If you simply want a second email address for password resets, set the Type to "Delivery".
- NOTE: If you have an email address tagged as "CILogon OIDC Claims", it does not count as one of your email addresses, so please ignore it. It was asserted by your identity provider when you registered for your ACCESS CI account and cannot be changed.
To modify the organization associated with your ACCESS ID:
There are two ways you can modify the organization listed in your ACCESS profile:
- Open a ticket to request the new organization for your profile.
- - OR -
- Log on to ACCESS Allocations and visit your ACCESS Profile. Under the "Additional Information" section, select a new "Institution or organization". Please note, however, that modifying your organization using this method is not immediate as it can take up to 24 hours for the change to be shown in the ACCESS User Registry.
